Broadway Alum Rob Campbell Joins the Cast of All the Way, Starring Bryan Cranston

Rob Campbell will join the cast of the Broadway transfer of Robert Schenkkan's All the Way, starring Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon B. Johnson. The Broadway vet will play Governor George Wallace in the production. Campbell takes over the role from Dan Butler, who appeared in the play's acclaimed run at A.R.T. Directed by Bill Rauch, All the Way will begin previews February 10, 2014 at the Neil Simon Theatre, with opening night set for March 6.

Campbell appeared on Broadway in Translations and Ivanov. His other theater credits include Mad Forest, The Illusion, Small Tragedy, Singing Forest, Wasp, Living Room In Africa, Mojo, Our House, The Treatment, Orphan of Zhao, Bad Jazz, Cherry Orchard, Snow In June, Him, Titus Andronicus, King Lear, As You Like It, Measure For Measure, A Winter's Tale, Midsummer's Night Dream and Hamlet. Campbell's film and TV credits include Unforgiven, The Crucible, Boys Don't Cry, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Rabbit Hole, Ethan Frome, The Stars Fell on Henrietta, Snow Day, The Photographer, Admission, Hostile Waters, Brotherhood, Criminal Intent, Hope & Faith, NY Undercover, Damages, One Life To Live, Sex and the City and the upcoming Winter's Tale.

Campbell joins previously announced principal cast members Michael McKean and Brandon J. Dirden as J. Edgar Hoover and Dr. Martin Luther King, respectively. Beginning with the Kennedy assassination, All the Way details the first year of Johnson’s presidency, focusing on his involvement with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The play opens on Air Force One on November 23, 1963, as the plane transports the body of President Kennedy back to Washington D.C., and Johnson summons his courage to take on the role of commander in chief.

All the Way will feature set design by Christopher Acebo, costume design by Deborah M. Dryden, lighting design by Jane Cox, composition and sound design by Paul James Prendergast and video projections by Shawn Sagady.
